Syracuse University lacked guidelines to unify the many facets of its brand. In order to create consistency and ensure an appropriate University presence on a sub-brand level, guidance was created to communicate the University relationship with each college, department and program.
Specific guidelines were given for the placement, usage and minimum and maximum sizes of the wordmark, seal and Block S. Guidance on clear space, logo lockups, typography, color usage, imagery and templates was created. All the current school and college logos were updated as an interim step to bring them closer in line with each other as well as to incorporate the approved University wordmark.
